WHAT THE HECK IS
SCOUT'S HONOUR?!
A LITTLE ABOUT US
Scout’s Honour lives to help you tell the story of your fun, unique, and incredible love.
We don’t just make films; we tell stories, craft memories, and maybe even become best friends along the way.
Scout’s Honour is a Newcastle-based wedding videography studio, creating cinematic, story-driven wedding films across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and wherever your love takes us.
Based in Newcastle, NSW, but always up for an adventure, we’re ready to party anywhere your love leads.
We film weddings in a natural, unobtrusive way, letting moments unfold instead of forcing them. From the nervous energy of the morning to the chaos of the dance floor, we’re there to capture the real stuff: the laughter, the quiet glances, the emotion you didn’t even realise was happening at the time.
Our goal is to craft a film that feels timeless, personal, and unmistakably you, something you’ll come back to again and again.
And when we say your love, we mean your love. No matter who you are or whom you love, we’re here to celebrate you.
LGBTQIA+? Always welcome here. Non-traditional? Even better.
We proudly work with LGBTQIA+ couples, beautifully unconventional weddings, and anyone who wants their story told with care, respect, and heart.
Whether your story is loud and vibrant, quiet and intimate, or somewhere wonderfully in between, we’re honoured to help you tell it.
Your story is yours, and we can’t wait to help you share it with the world.
WHAT DOES "SCOUT'S HONOUR" MEAN?
In so many movies and TV shows from the 80's and 90's there was a saying/promise among kids, which was "Scout's Honour".
The saying "Scout's Honour" refers to the high standard of truthfulness, integrity, and trustworthiness the was upheld by members of scouting organizations, It's rooted in the Scout Promise, which emphasizes values like honesty and doing your best.
During the 80's and 90's when Scout's and Girl Guides were at their peak, saying Scout's Honour was the most sincere way to promise a friend that you weren't going to tell their parents the mischief you got up to, or when you swore you were telling the truth that finally kissed Cassie on her parents boat.
So having a childlike, marriage full of fun, love, trust and an all out adventure seems like a very good way to start out.
